The Family system is best defined as individuals who cannot be understand separate from one another, but rather as a part of their family, as the family is an emotional unit. The family unit is a complex social system in where members interact with one another to influence each other's behavior.
To understand individual behavior, we must explore behaviors and interactions of the core family unit. What is modeled and learned in the family unit shapes how individuals interact with others, establish relationships and how they resolve conflict. Developing a safe, stable family core is critical for healthy development.
The idea of community is one that suggests images and feelings of identity, belonging and connectedness, shared circumstance, and common cause (Chaskkin, 2013).
